Breakfast was good but if you ordered brown toast, you were only given half the amount your companion was given for white ! I could not understand this and I heard another couple stating the same .

The view to the south over the Lake and towards Keswick was superb, I wish we had longer and a drier day to sit outside and enjoy it.

A nice little town that catered for all ages especially liked the puzzle museum, one downside was the price of the toilets which at 50p is expensive. The meals at Brasserie 31 while expensive was very good as was the meal we had at the Golden Lion

There are wonderful hikes of all different lengths -- one hour to 8 hours -- and you get extraordinary views from all of them. And there always seems to be a nearby pub at the end of the hike! Truly great hiking and friendly people. We had a great dinner at the Fellpack restaurant too.

Very nice town many interesting shops pubs and cafes with a very good museum stop the weekly market small bit interesting. It was a very short walk down to the waterfront which has a good compliment of boats etc. The variety of pubs was excellent and it was much appreciated that the town had a wetherspoon. As a transport hub it was easy for myself which did not have a car to visit many areas. It is also close to both high heels for walking and for much lower level walks what's up this would suit all tastes.

The Lake District is a beautiful part of England and Keswick is a lovely place within it. It's big enough to have a small town feel bit small enoght to have a village feel. Coupled with this is its direct position on the lake with its beautiful views of hills/mountains (I can never tell the difference!) in balance with the lake on its islands. Altogether its a wonderfully peaceful place to chill alone or socialise with lovely people as you choose.
Four night break in Keswick, walking.
Excellent location within a few minutes of the town centre and with plenty of free parking.
We stayed on half board basis, with lots of options for the evening meal on the set menu. Vegetarian options available.
Extremely friendly staff in all areas - Reception, cleaning staff and restaurant staff.
Massive room at the back of the hotel. Very comfortable bed. Good size bathroom with lots of hot water and a bath with shower over.
Excellent place to stay in Keswick. Lovely room, very clean and comfortable bed, me and my husband both slept very well. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast is delicious. Nice quiet street but very quick to walk into the town centre. I easily found a place to park my car on the street outside. Thoughtful extras provided by the owners such as homemade cakes and fresh milk available for cups of tea in your room. I would highly recommend!
The hotel and grounds were far more picturesque than we anticipated and it is perfectly situated in Keswick with an easy walk into town and to the start of most walks and Derwentwater. Our room was lovely and although not modern and up to date perfectly reflected the building and its surroundings and everything worked and was clean.
The restaurant for breakfast was great and there was more than enough options with a lovely view across the lawn.
I loved the excellent location of the hostel (within 1/4 of a mile of the town centre) as well as the excellent staff.
There was always plenty of activities to partake in, due to the location of Keswick : )
I was especially surprised to discover that I was the only person occupying my bedroom (due to the time of my stay, a week before the busy Easter holidays and that my room came with a very good en-suite bathroom.

Lovely terraced house in the centre of Keswick, a short walk away from the shops and buses. The kitchen, dining area & lounge on the ground floor had everything we needed and were big enough for the seven of us. The bedrooms on the 1st & 2nd floors were clean and spacious, and it was nice that the double on the 2nd floor had an en-suite bathroom.
Wayne & Alison are excellent hosts, very welcoming and helpful
Breakfasts were great and a good choice of "mix &match"
Room and beds were comfortable
Location was great short walk into Keswick Town Centre then a walk to the Lake
Bus Services are good to other Areas. We managed to go to Grasmere & Windermere in the short time we were there.
You will be lucky if you can find a better hotel in Keswick. Spotlessly clean, great facilities and attention to even the smallest details. A wonderfully comfortable bed and a great breakfast. The owners are lovely, friendly hosts to whom nothing is too much trouble. Cannot recommend this hotel enough, you will not be disappointed.
The staff were friendly, professional and efficient. The property appears to have been recently redecorated so it was clean and comfortable. Location was great, only 1 minute walk from Keswick town centre and 4 minute walk from Derwent lake. Breakfast was great. I would thoroughly recommend staying at this property

Great location right in the centre of Keswick and a short walk to the lake.
