Less then five minutes by walk from the peer. The room is very small but super clean, warm and cozy. The view from the balcony is spectacular, although it is quite cold there. The staff is nice and helpful. The guests have 10% discount in the restaurant - small but pleasant detail.

I have had very bad experience with one of the numerous restaurants situated on the sea shore. Once tempted and persuaded to order a dish we were trated very bad by the staff (napkins were throun on our table, a bottle with oilive oil has been grabbed from ou table without any word and transfered to another table where Turkish clients were sitting, the dishes were clerade away before we finished eating, without any word... in the end we have been charged extra (around £7) for the service (sic!), for the bread and water too.

A relaxing island, reachable in under 2 hours from the bustle of Istanbul using the inexpensive ferry service. Provides outstanding views of the city skyline in a peaceful atmosphere with almost no cars allowed on the island. The local architecture is made up mostly of Victorian-era wooden houses, giving a real feel of what Istanbul used to be like. Don't miss the Prinkipo Greek Orphanage, which is one of the largest wooden structures in the world or the Yanaros mansion which once housed Leon Trotsky during his exile in Turkey. Not to mention the hike up to St George Monastary which is at the island's highest point. Ideal to explore on a bicycle - you can do a lap of the island in around 2 hours. 2 nights would be ideal, we managed to squeeze it into 1 but felt slightly rushed.

Buyukada is an island a pleasant 90 minute local ferry ride from Istanbul. A holiday place with lots of restaurants and bars. Pleasant strolls along the waterfront and through the Ottoman mansion lined streets. Great for a day trip or a stay of one or two nights.

The island is beautiful but it is very crowded.
The island is beautiful but it is very crowded. Especially in the centre. The horse carriages are still servicing people even though it is 2019. I advise everybody to refrain from participating in this animal suffering. The horses are weak and sometimes you can count their bones. I saw one with the leg bleeding yet the owner was still inviting us to do a ride. Most of them don't care about their horses. They ride them on steep hills on full speed with 5 people on the carriage. Nobody should contribute to this suffering!

Great ferry journey.
Great ferry journey. Good transport system to the Island via ferry. Cheap ferry fare. The views from the ferry are great. The island is full of many fresh fish restaurants and there are many meat and veg options available. Small island which can be explored on foot or by hiring a bike or horse cart. This island is vehicle free. The only vehicles are emergency and council service vehicles. Other private vehicles are small electric private vehicles. Which means the pollution is less than mainland.

Cool and chill island.
Cool and chill island. It can get really busy.It is nice to stay one night only at the Splendid palace, walking around and relaxing. The carriages with the horses broke my heart! If you want to visit this island please don't take part of this. Walk around instead, it's healthier and you would get to enjoy it more.
The apartament is very spacious and it's on a quite and nice street. The living area was large and we enjoyed spending the time there You need to take the key from an office, close to the apartament. The apartament is close to the main attractions of the island. The internet is working well.
We stayed at the 2nd floor and there is a large balcony where you can enjoy a coffee outside. We stayed here on January and it was a bit cold to spend too much time on the balcony.
The host was very helpful and answered to all our questions.
The hotel is located on a very quiet street. But you would need to go uphill, not very steep, but sensitive if it is hot. We got a our luggage transported for us, and it was a great help! The apartments themselves have a lot of space, cool during the heat, calm and quiet. We liked the pool a lot - it is quite big, clean, surrounded by trees. There was a terrace with a view in our apartment, nice for breakfast or dinner. Beds are comfortable enough. Personal tried to help us.
We have stayed in this hotel for 4 days. The hotel is built in mediterranean style and it has very beautiful facade and entrance hall. Our room was very homelike and it has been cleaned everyday and that was great. The breakfasts were delicious. The owner of this nice hotel is very friendly. He has helped us with every issue during out stay. He showed us the best restaurants and beaches on the island.
We really enjoyed our holidays in Cenar Konak on Buyukada Island!
The location is great, close to the port by walking. The historic hotel building makes you feel the exceptional island vibe right away. The room is spacious, nice and clean with the wide private balcony. There is a nice garden to chill out and drink some tea. Breakfast is by far the best I had in Turkey, great quality and variety of products. Hakan, the manager is a very kind and helpful guy.
Location is excellent, about 5-10 mins walk from the ferry terminal. The.hotel has a certain faded grandeur like a lot of properties on the island. The guy on reception was great & dealt with any queries.
Pool area is absolutely lovely & well maintained.
There’s a separate breakfast room & terrace which is also lovely; good coffee & usual Turkish fare.
1. Great location, 2 mins far from ferries and sea, but really quit
2. Looks very luxury
3. One of the best restaurant on the island is in this hotel
4. The best bed in my life, so comfortable and soft that it was really hard to get out
5. Finally, person is so nice and polite! They're ready to help with any requests
Amazing Hotel and very friendly owners. We spent only one night but experience was stunning. You can feel the spirit of the Island here.
Breakfast in Turkish style was tasty and fresh.
Hotel located in good place, quiet and beautiful, but close enough to all shops and restaurants.
Next time we will stay for longer.
This is a great little boutique hotel in an old mansion beautifully maintained. Just a little out of the town center, easy walk from ferry dock. Nice views from the balconies. Good breakfast in the garden restaurant. Staff was super, very friendly, run by a husband and wife team. Would not hesitate to stay again.
Nice historic boutique hotel. Located in walking distance from ferry docks, road to hotel is not steep and easy. Staff is friendly and helpful, kindly assisted us to settle in one of the rooms before the check-in time. Home style breakfast. We enjoyed beautiful evening on a balcony with stunning view.
The room was clean and had a fantastic view of the sea from balcony. The facilities were fine. The staff was generally helpful in guiding us around the island. The breakfast was provided for free. Stayed there one day especially for the view and the room served its purpose.
Ottoman Empire era hotel with beautiful 1900s period interiors, furniture Turkish café, dessert shop, bar and pool, frequented by Istanbul locals and tourists
Serves full traditional Turkish breakfast buffet - you can stay in the hotel and experience loads of delights.
everything was just perfect! the girl on the reception is so friendly and cheerful, help us with payments and gave all the information about the island. thank you so much, Mavi palac hotel is the best place to stay! highly recommend 👍🏼
Very lovely cosy butik hotel located in a quiet street thus near to all the facilities (port, bus station, supermarkets, seaside, restaurants).
Nice terrace, good breakfast, very friendly staff.
Friendly staff and nice location. View from the terrace was fantastic. Great breakfast. I had a room with a balcony and it was lovely and clean. Thanks the hotel staff.
